 July 2010 Renewal Deadline Minimize
July 2010 Renewal Deadline

Due to the July 2010 renewal deadline falling on a Saturday, renewals with a July 31st, 2010 deadline will have until Monday, August 2nd, 2010 at midnight to renew online.

Online renewals with a July 31st deadline received after midnight on July 31st, 2010 will automatically be charged a late fee that will be refunded. July renewals that are processed online after midnight on  Monday, August 2nd, 2010 will be charged a non-refundable late fee.

Paper renewals with a July 31st deadline must be received no later than  Monday, August 2nd, 2010 at close of business and are subject to late fees after that date.

A law passed by the 2009 Minnesota Legislature, initiated by the Minnesota Office of Enterprise Technology (OET), requires a 10% surcharge of no less than $5 and no more than $150 on each business, commercial, professional or occupational license, including social work licenses

Summary of 2010 Legislation

2010 Legislative Session 

Although the Legislature adjourned on May 16, the Governor convened a short Special Session.  The Board of Social Work did not initiate any legislative proposals for the 2010 session.  A legislative update on bills of interest is highlighted below.

Saint Paul Governor Tim Pawlenty today announced the appointment of Nicole M. Roiger, and the reappointment of Jacqueline L. Johnson and Tamerlee Ruebke to the Minnesota Board of Social Work.
